ISO 9001 & Product Standards: What a 35,000 m² Factory Audits
Buyers often blur two different things: a quality-management system and a product test report. They are not the same, and at container scale the difference decides whether a shipment clears customs and survives a marketplace audit. Here is how we separate them on a roughly 35,000 m² production base.
What ISO 9001 controls — process, batch to batch
ISO 9001 is a management system. It governs how we document a build, control incoming materials, record inspections, trace a defect back to its batch and act on it. It does not certify any single feeder; it makes the thousands of units in a container consistent with each other. For an importer placing repeat orders, that consistency is the point — the tenth container should behave like the first, and a documented system is what makes that true rather than hopeful. It is also what an Amazon or retail-channel audit looks for: a paper trail from incoming material to outgoing carton, not a verbal assurance.
What product standards cover — market access
Product standards are model-specific and tied to market access. CE signals EU conformity for safety, EMC and, on wireless models, radio. FCC governs electromagnetic interference for the United States. RoHS restricts hazardous substances. KC is required for Korea and TELEC for Japan's radio approval — both matter because we export to around 85 countries and a Wi-Fi feeder needs in-country radio clearance, not just a generic mark.
What to actually request before a container ships
A logo on a webpage is not evidence. Ask for the test report tied to the exact model and its radio module, the bill of materials for RoHS, and the in-box manual. Our products are built and tested to CE, FCC, RoHS, KC and TELEC standards, and we provide reports on request during a project — we deliberately do not stamp "certified" on a marketing page, because compliance is model-specific and we would rather hand you the document than a claim. That discipline protects your listing as much as ours, and it keeps a full container moving instead of sitting in a bonded warehouse.
Tell us the markets you serve and the models you want, and we will map exactly which reports apply and supply them for your order.
